Evan Ting-Kwok Leung is a ceramic sculptor who was born in Hong Kong in 1977 and moved to Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada in 1994. Growing up with his painter father, Evan has been exposed to the arts for as long as he can remember. He first studied pottery in the Richmond studio of Ping-Kwong Wong from 1995-98, after his passion and interest, he went to Kwantlen University College and Emily Carr institute of Art & Design to study visual arts. Since 1998, he has been participating in certain solo and group exhibitions in Canada and internationally.
Recent years, Evan received an Honorable Mention award in 2021 Korean International Ceramic Biennale, a Recommendation Prize in 2016 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale and finalist in 2024, 2020 and 2012 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale, Finalist in 2018 Latvia international ceramics biennale, Honorable Mention award in 2017 11th International Ceramics Competition Mino in Japan and Highest Recognition in 2013 1st Cluj International Ceramics Biennale in Romania.
